Embar keeps your notes on your Mac. We do not collect them, we cannot see them, and they are never sent to us. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Embar is made by Solomiia Nechai, an independent developer based in Ukraine. For any privacy question, write to support@embar.studio. For the purposes of the GDPR, Solomiia Nechai is the data controller for the limited processing described below.
Everything you create in Embar (stickies, notes, reader entries, notebooks, to-dos, habits, events, attached photos and voice notes) is stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container.
We have no servers, no accounts, and no way to read your content. Nothing you write is transmitted to us or to any third party.
Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. We cannot recover it for you, and we recommend keeping your own backups (for example, Time Machine).
Embar asks for a permission only at the moment you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, and the rest of the app keeps working. You can change these at any time in System Settings.
If you buy Embar or a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales reports that do not identify you.
To manage purchases across devices, Embar uses RevenueCat, a purchase infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier together with information about the purchase (product, purchase and expiry dates, country, device type). This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or the content of your notes, and it cannot be used to identify you personally. RevenueCat acts as our processor. See revenuecat.com/privacy for their policy.
Embar does not include any crash reporting service of its own. If you have chosen to share analytics and crash data with app developers in your macOS privacy settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These contain technical information about the state of the app at the moment of the crash and never contain your notes. You can turn this off in System Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements.
When you email support@embar.studio, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, and we use it only to answer you. These emails are handled by our email provider and stored in the mailbox of the developer. We keep support correspondence for up to 24 months and then delete it. If you would like your correspondence deleted sooner, just ask.
embar.studio is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability, as is standard for any web host.
The one exception is the feedback page at embar.studio/feedback, which embeds a form from Tally, a third-party form service. If you use that form, what you write and your email address (if you choose to give one) are processed by Tally and passed on to us. Tally may set its own cookies on that page. Their policy is at tally.so/help/privacy-policy. Every other page on embar.studio remains free of cookies, analytics and tracking.
Embar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. Since the app collects nothing at all, no such data can reach us.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
In practice, most of these rights concern data we simply do not have. Your notes are on your Mac, under your control: you can view, edit, export, and delete them in the app at any time, without asking us. The only personal data we may hold is your email correspondence with support, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to support@embar.studio. We answer such requests within 30 days.
Where we do process the limited data described above, we rely on your consent (device permissions), on the performance of our agreement with you (purchases), and on our legitimate interest in answering your questions (support email).
Because we do not collect your content, there is nothing to transfer. The limited processing described above (App Store purchases, RevenueCat, email) may involve providers located outside your country, including in the United States. Those providers rely on their own safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
If Embar gains features that change how data is handled (for example, iCloud sync between your devices), we will update this policy before that feature ships and change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.

Усе, що ви створюєте в Embar (стіки, нотатки, записи рідера, блокноти, тудушки, звички, події, прикріплені фото і голосові), зберігається локально на вашому Mac, у контейнері застосунку.
У нас немає серверів, немає акаунтів і немає жодного способу прочитати ваш вміст. Нічого з написаного вами не передається ні нам, ні третім сторонам.
Оскільки дані живуть тільки на вашому пристрої, видалення застосунку видаляє і їх. Ми не зможемо їх відновити, тому радимо мати власні резервні копії (наприклад, Time Machine).
Embar запитує дозвіл лише в момент, коли ви користуєтесь функцією, якій він потрібен. Ви можете відмовити, і решта застосунку працюватиме далі. Змінити дозволи можна будь-коли в системних параметрах.
Якщо ви купуєте Embar чи підписку, платіж обробляє Apple через App Store. Ми ніколи не бачимо ваших платіжних даних. Apple надає нам знеособлені зведені звіти про продажі, які вас не ідентифікують.
Для керування покупками між пристроями Embar використовує RevenueCat, сервіс інфраструктури покупок. RevenueCat отримує випадково згенерований ідентифікатор разом з інформацією про покупку (продукт, дати придбання і завершення, країна, тип пристрою). Цей ідентифікатор не повʼязаний з вашим імʼям, поштою чи вмістом нотаток і не дозволяє вас ідентифікувати. RevenueCat діє як наш процесор. Їхня політика: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Embar не має власного сервісу збору збоїв. Якщо ви дозволили ділитися аналітикою і даними про збої з розробниками в налаштуваннях приватності macOS, Apple може надсилати нам знеособлені звіти. Вони містять технічну інформацію про стан застосунку в момент збою і ніколи не містять ваших нотаток. Вимкнути це можна в Системних параметрах, Конфіденційність і безпека, Аналітика та вдосконалення.
Коли ви пишете на support@embar.studio, ми отримуємо вашу адресу і те, що ви вирішили написати, і використовуємо це лише щоб вам відповісти. Ці листи обробляє наш поштовий провайдер і зберігаються вони в скриньці розробниці. Ми зберігаємо листування підтримки до 24 місяців, після чого видаляємо. Якщо хочете, щоб ваше листування видалили раніше, просто попросіть.
embar.studio це статичний сайт. Він не використовує кукі, аналітику чи скрипти відстеження. Наш хостинг-провайдер може зберігати короткочасні технічні журнали (зокрема IP-адреси) для безпеки і стабільності, як це стандартно для будь-якого хостингу.

Embar не призначений для дітей до 13 років, і ми свідомо не збираємо жодної інформації від них. Оскільки застосунок не збирає взагалі нічого, такі дані до нас потрапити не можуть.
Якщо ви перебуваєте в Європейському економічному просторі чи Великій Британії, ви маєте право на доступ, виправлення, видалення чи експорт своїх персональних даних, на обмеження чи заперечення проти обробки, а також на скаргу до місцевого органу із захисту даних.
На практиці більшість цих прав стосується даних, яких у нас просто немає. Ваші нотатки на вашому Mac і під вашим контролем: ви можете переглядати, редагувати, експортувати і видаляти їх у застосунку будь-коли, не питаючи нас. Єдині персональні дані, які ми можемо мати, це ваше листування з підтримкою, і ви можете попросити видалити його будь-коли, написавши на support@embar.studio. Ми відповідаємо на такі запити протягом 30 днів.
Там, де ми обробляємо описані вище обмежені дані, ми спираємось на вашу згоду (дозволи пристрою), на виконання угоди з вами (покупки) і на законний інтерес відповісти на ваші запитання (лист підтримки).
Оскільки ми не збираємо ваш вміст, передавати нічого. Обмежена обробка, описана вище (покупки в App Store, RevenueCat, пошта), може залучати провайдерів за межами вашої країни, зокрема у США. Ці провайдери спираються на власні гарантії, як-от Стандартні договірні положення Європейської комісії.
Якщо в Embar зʼявляться функції, що змінюють поводження з даними (наприклад, синхронізація через iCloud між вашими пристроями), ми оновимо цю політику до виходу такої функції і змінимо дату оновлення вгорі. Про суттєві зміни також повідомимо в описі оновлення.
